The Vinalhaven Chamber of Commerce is an all-volunteer organization with a mission to promote economic vitality while maintaining our island way of life. For more than twenty years, we have maintained the website at vinalhaven.org, providing information about our community for visitors and folks who live here.
Last year, 47,000 individuals paid 71,000 visits to 376,000 pages on our website. We host an on-line community calendar, filled with the many and varied events that make life on an island such a rich experience. We maintain the information boards at both the Rockland and the Vinalhaven ferry terminals, provide a free brochure with member listings and a map of the island, and host our community’s annual Black Friday/Shop Local event in November.
Membership is open to anyone interested in joining; annual dues are $80.00. Membership benefits include a listing on Vinalhaven.org and in the Chamber’s print brochure.
Meetings are held at 8:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Vinalhaven Town Office.
