ROCKLAND, Maine a ' The Coast Guard is searching for a fisherman who was forced into the cold waters of Penobscot Bay after his vessel apparently sank late Saturday morning.
Distress call may have been a hoax
A Coast Guard spokesman says the call came in about noon Saturday. The call came from a man saying he was aboard the fishing boat Steven Bowden , and that the vessel was sinking between Deer Isle and Vinalhaven.
