6 comments postedI just returned from a glorious week on Vinalhaven with my family. On the last day of our stay, I found a journal in the home I was staying at which I believe covered 1985 to almost the present. I could not find a copy in the stores there. I began reading this journal and would love to obtain a copy. Does anyone have any information on how I can do this?
Just a comment, I have traveled extensively, including China and have to say I have never been anywhere else where I found the people to be so kind, warm and welcoming. Our experience was a delight and I hope to return in the future to this magical island.
Thank you!
This island has changed my family's life. It is such an experience and it is great how we all work as a team. I LOVE VH!! :)
I have an old New England Conservatory of Music yearbook from 1916 with a picture and signature of Bernice Vinal of Vinal Haven, Maine. I wondered if she was part of the founding family of the island?
So what is the problem now?
Friends on Vinalhaven,
Read the article in this AM's Press Herald about the sound problems with your new wind turbines. Good luck dealing with this problem and hope you all can continue to live a sweet and peacful life.

Vinalhaven Island has just got new wind turbines. They are really great to Vinalhaven and they also power Northhaven the Island just next door to Vinalhaven. They were called the fox Islands at one time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
