The Star of Hope Foundation is hosting its final (4th) community meeting on Jan 23, 2020 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Vinalhaven School. Results of a recent community survey will be presented at this meeting, along with an update about the effort that is currently underway. There will be a community supper following the meeting in the school cafeteria. All are welcome to attend.

The 2018 film, Anthropocene: The Human Epoch, made by Canadian filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal, Nicholas de Pencier and Edward Burtynsky documents the impact humans have made on the planet. The third in a series of films: Manufactured Landscapes (2006) and Watermark (2012). Winner at the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Feature Length Documentary and Best Cinematography in a Documentary. Anthropocene refers to a proposed geological epoch dating from the commencement of significant human impact on Earth's geology and ecosystems, including, but not limited to, anthropogenic climate change. 87 minutes.
